About Us
Forming in early 2011, Sarnia, Ontario, Arm The Innocent’s momentum has steadily been growing in the Southern Ontario music scene. In November 2011, the band generated tremendous buzz with the release of their self titled EP “Arm The Innocent” which included two songs “Maryanne” and “Things Unsaid”. The fast paced “Maryanne”, provides the raw guitar tone that the three guitars make possible, with catchy leads and thick rhythm. “Things Unsaid” showcases the bands lighter side, utilizing 3 part vocal harmonies, hard hitting chorus riffs and catchy lyrics.
Since they started playing shows, they have been regarded as a group of approachable and professional musicians, on and off the stage. Their first show was a memorial for Al Harse, to raise money for the Heart and Stroke foundation. Following that August evening, the band has been playing increasingly larger shows with increasingly larger fan turn out. A note worthy show was December 10th 2011, where they opened for Bobnoxious at The Stubborn Mule and impressed the venue. They were were asked to perform a follow up show the following month, which has been regarded as their best show to date, full of high stage energy and a powerful set list.
Recently Arm The Innocent traveled to London, Ontario to perform at The Ceeps for the UWO Guitar Club’s battle of the bands, and came home with the top prize. April 21 2012 Arm The Innocent rocked The Mod Club in Toronto for the Landmark Entertainment Showcase, and came home with 4th place, and secured a position in the final competition at The Opera House in Toronto!
To show everyone how much they are appreciated, the band entered Sprowt Studios to record a song entitled “Gun Em Down” which is a crowd favorite to be given away at the show, and for free download to all fans!
The band has returned with a new lineup of members and music for 2013. Stay tuned for new singles and updates!
